Sub Base Compensation

As Expanded Clay Aggregate (ECA) is 100% inert and very lightweight, it reduced load of the building. Expanded Clay Aggregate (ECA®) is natural with an equivalent thickness, makes sure building load remains proportionate with the soil load.

Expanded Clay Aggregate (ECA®) is also having very high drainage and filtration capacities with a very low density, making it good fit for filling foundations on loose or soft layers of soil. Expanded Clay Aggregate is very gentle and soft in nature that ensure very little disturbance to neighouring constructions.

The load compensation method consists in the substitution of a natural soil mass with an equivalent expanded clay thickness so that the new load of Expanded Clay Aggregate (ECA®) foundations plus the whole building load doesn't exceed the natural soil load that has been removed.

Expanded Clay Aggregate (ECA®) is very cost effective, thus it provides cost effective solutions for filling foundations in comparison to other filling materials available in the market.

Advantages:

  • Excellent thermal insulation
  • Elimination of thermal bridging
  • Ease of incorporating service distribution runs in to the construction
  • Stable and durable support for the building
  • Control of rising damp from ground due to capillary action
