Can we use eca or expanded clay aggregate for manufacturing blocks and tiles?

Expanded Clay Aggregate (ECA ®) can be used for its beneficial properties when manufacturing concrete construction blocks and tiles for roofing, flooring, and other applications. ECA ® is very strong, yet lightweight, due to the porous, honeycombed nature of each individual grain or pellet.

This means it can be mixed into structural concrete without compromising the strength of the material. In fact, it can actually increase the strength-to-weight ratio of structural concrete.

In addition, ECA ® has fantastic insulating properties and is extremely heat and moisture-resistant. It also absorbs sound, so it’s ideal for any project that requires acoustic insulation, such as sound barriers, wall tiles in large buildings, and other such applications.
